I’m Donald Morrison, 38, from Pasadena, CA. I’m a runner (5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon) and certified coach with USA Track and Field.

Finisher of 8 marathons, including three World Majors (Boston, Chicago and New York). Sub-3 hour finisher five times with a personal best of  2:49:21 at the Boston Marathon in 2014.

Winner of numerous 5k, 10k and half marathon races in southern California and Nevada.

5k PR: 16:21  2012 Fontana Days

10k PR: 34:52 2014 Seal Beach 10k Run (Overall Winner)

Half Marathon PR: 1:17:10 2014 Seaside Half Marathon in Ventura  (Overall Winner)

Current Back-to-Back winner of ET Full Moon half marathon in Rachel, Nevada (2015, 2016)

Three-time Hayden 5k winner in Duarte  (2012, 2013, 2014)


I work full-time and do some sports writing on the side. Since I have an extensive writing background, I decided to start this blog with the hope of helping and inspiring people to run and accomplish their running goals. My desire is to coach regular people looking to either take their running to the next level or who are looking to begin a running routine.

I’m a regular person just like you. I’m not someone from the world of elite running. I can relate to you and your struggles. I understand you have to balance work and family with your running. I can set up a training plan to help you accomplish your goals. If you’re local to the Los Angeles area, I can even coach you in-person.
